Keep reading. Bartelt Packaging, a Pro Mach Company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to join its team in Sarasota, Florida. The Mechanical Engineer III plans and designs packaging equipment, mechanical components, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems. The Mechanical Engineer III interacts with other technical specialists and engineers to assure that the equipment meets the customer’s needs and federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines as required or directed by management. The Mechanical Engineer III has direct contact with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies as deemed necessary to perform the job. As a Mechanical Engineer III, you will… Create Bill of Materials (BOM). Contribute to the mechanical design/development of new products. Create and dimension engineering/fabrication drawings for sheet metal and machined metal components. Create drawings for installation/training/operator manuals as needed. Create product final assembly drawings. Maintain drawing database to ensure current drawings/documentation is available for the Production department. Process Engineering Change Orders. Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Provide Engineering support for the Purchasing/Production department and may coordinate fabrication of prototypes with outside vendors. Design, conduct, and document experiments for Research and Development. Research and evaluate mechanical equipment, processes, and systems applying knowledge of engineering principles. Specify components and directly modify designs to ensure conformance with standards and performance specifications. Conduct root cause analysis and recommend and implement changes as directed. Work with a minimum of supervision and manage complex level design tasks. Review technical proposals and quotations. Provide technical assistance and support to manufacturing, sales, and service as directed. Interact with other technical specialists and engineers to assure that the equipment meets the customer’s needs and federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines. Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering;

at least ten years of experience in mechanical engineering design in a manufacturing environment ; or equivalent combination of education.

Previous experience at an OEM designing complex, automated packaging machinery required . Mastery of MS Office applications and proficiency in dimensioning mechanical parts and assemblies in CAD applications. What’s in it for you?
