FPGA UVM Design Engineer
on a full-time, permanent basis. This onsite role is located in Marlborough, MA or Carlsbad, CA and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance (Active Secret clearance preferred).

What You’ll Do As an FPGA UVM Design Engineer, you’ll work with highly motivated engineers in an exciting and dynamic environment to support the next generation of advanced communications products and systems. You will develop high-speed signal processing algorithms and/or network protocols in FPGAs. You will be responsible for RTL design verification at unit and system levels, implementing UVM environments and test cases, and collaborating with engineers from different fields. Experience in high-performance FPGA designs, network encryptors and cryptographic devices is a plus.
Responsibilities
Creating drivers, monitors, scoreboards, sequences, and model predictors for various interfaces
Writing and debugging constrained random and directed test cases
Debugging failing tests, understanding UVM testbenches and VHDL/Verilog source code, and collaborating with RTL developers
Collecting and reporting code and functional coverage
Maintaining regular simulation regressions
Conducting code and design reviews and participating in multi-functional reviews
Maintaining UVM code revision history
Owning and driving technical issues to resolution
Qualifications
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
8+ years FPGA/ASIC design with UVM verification experience
Foundational knowledge of digital logic and timing
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with a geographically distributed team
Attention to detail and ability to follow processes and coding guidelines; participate in code reviews
Experience with programmable logic EDA tools (e.g., Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys)
Proven track record designing and implementing FPGA/ASIC modules using Verilog and/or VHDL with UVM simulation
Familiarity with re-usable, maintainable, and scalable design practices
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Ability to travel up to 10%
Nice to Have
Active United States Secret Security Clearance preferred
Familiarity with TCL, Perl, Python or another scripting language
Experience with high-speed interfaces (SERDES, DDR2/3/4, LVDS)
Experience debugging and solving embedded design issues
Experience across the FPGA design process from requirements to hardware integration
Experience with Linux-based development environments
