Join our dynamic Field Service (FSE) organization, where you will travel to power plants across the U.S. and play a crucial role in maintaining and upgrading electrical generation machinery, including gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators. This program serves as your entry point into our field service team, offering the chance to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Complete comprehensive 12-month classroom and lab training in Orlando, followed by hands-on experience with expert engineers at various customer sites across the U.S.
Develop essential skills in equipment operation, maintenance, job site safety, project management, leadership, and Siemens Energy’s business systems alongside our leading FSE staff.
Supervise technicians and mechanics during power plant maintenance shutdowns, addressing both planned and unplanned outages due to equipment performance issues.
Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble turbines and generators, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Collaborate with our global engineering team to conduct specialized mechanical and electrical testing, serving as the primary customer contact during outages to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
What You Bring
A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required, with 5+ years of demonstrated technical leadership in power plant or facilities maintenance and operations; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
A passion for solving complex mechanical problems using both intellect and hands-on work, while collaborating with a team and customers to deliver exceptional service.
A self-starting leader who effectively utilizes available resources to create innovative solutions for challenging mechanical issues.
Willingness to travel extensively; FSEs typically work up to 250 days per year for periods ranging from 2 to 15 weeks at a time.
Ability to work extended hours of up to 12–14 hours per day, including weekends and holidays, with a typical work week of 60–84 hours. Must be physically capable of ascending/descending ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

This role may be based in various locations across the United States. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits, including paid time off and holiday pay. For positions based in the United States, the base salary range is $70,000 to $100,000 annually, and the annual incentive target is 0% to 10% of the base salary.
