Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a mechanical or industrial manufacturing environment, with strong technical skills and a passion for process improvement. Experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Review customer drawings and specifications to assess feasibility and lead times. Communicate with customers regarding clarifications on drawings and tolerances. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Conduct experiments and collect data to develop or improve manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment; coordinate with vendors as needed. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues. Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and apply Six Sigma methodologies. Validate new or modified equipment and ensure proper preventive maintenance is in place.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Related Discipline Desired. Prior experience in a mechanical or industrial manufacturing setting required. Experience in the medical device or other highly regulated industry strongly preferred. Proficient in CAD and/or SolidWorks. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders) and CNC machines. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills with tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints. Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt training preferred.
