Information Assurance Engineer 2 - 25373 at Mission Technologies, a division of HII. This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners. Mission Technologies leads the next evolution of national defense – the data evolution – by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions for government and commercial customers. The selected candidate will contribute to a high-impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission-critical systems and environments. The program is scheduled to launch in early 2026 and, due to the classified nature of the mission and the sensitivity of the operational environment, an active TS/SCI security clearance will be required.

What You Will Do

Design and implement information assurance and security engineering systems with requirements of business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management).

Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.

Validate system security requirements definition and analysis.

Establish system security designs.

Implement security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures.

Verify security requirements; perform system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities.

Support secure systems operations and maintenance.

What We Are Looking For

2 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree in related field.

CompTIA Security+.

Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting.

Proficiency with specialized tools or software aligned to the role.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Active TS/SCI government security clearance required to start.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, or laboratory environment.
