Where You Will Work: Tampa, FL and Galveston, TX

Overview We are seeking a Capital Project Engineer (II, III or Sr) based at the Riverview Concentrate Site. The Capital Project Engineer will manage a portfolio of projects varying between Asset Sustaining and Opportunity projects, primarily at our Tampa, FL locations but also projects out of state at Galveston, TX location. Estimated 25% travel depending on project needs and active construction. Tasks relating to this job include preliminary or detailed project scoping, engineering design, scheduling, cost estimating, procurement, supervision, execution, and construction management.

Responsibilities

Project execution and management of capital projects of varying size and complexity

Responsible for safety, scope, schedule, budget and quality

Responsible for contractor management and driving positive safety culture

Project administration including project approval, reporting schedule updates

Technical design of projects and oversite of third-party engineering

Cost control including developing estimates and budgets and providing monthly forecasting for projects

Schedule development and reporting

Engineering design (developing engineering work packages for projects)

Construction oversight in an industrial environment

Department initiatives (non-project specific engineering, project management process definition)

Site and company initiatives to support safety, production, expansion and maintenance

Technical/personal development and coaching others (contractors, trades, training courses, etc.)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, major in Mechanical Engineering, preferred

Excellent written and communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management

Must demonstrate ability to influence others; requires strong leadership qualities, and team building

Project Management

Proficiency in MS Office products, PI/OSISoft products or similar data historian; added benefit if AutoCAD, Microsoft Project/Primavera (or similar software) experience

Competent in understanding and translating data analytics

SAP/Maximo application experience preferred

Engineer Levels Engineer II

2+ years of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management

Engineer III

4+ years of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management

Engineer Sr

8+ years or more of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management
