Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer - Federal Facility Project Work at Arcadis (remote). This role involves facility design for United States Government and federal agency projects. The position is remote with approximately 30% travel for project-related work, including site visits and client collaboration. As a Federal Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will lead electrical design efforts across multiple concurrent projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and federal clients. Role accountabilities

Lead electrical design teams and mentor junior staff to produce construction-ready design packages that clearly reflect design documentation and scope compliance Design facilities focused on the industrial, commercial, and/or institutional sectors, potentially including work with the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Take a leadership role in the project lifecycle, including development of project budgets, proposals, schedules, staffing plans, and resource allocation Engage in business development and client relationship building within federal, state, and local government sectors Ensure compliance with federal and industry standards (UFC, UFGS, NFPA, NEC, NESC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UBC, IEC, CE, EN) Travel related to project work, including overnight stays, estimated at about 30% Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship (required for federal project work) Minimum 12 years of consulting engineering experience in facility design with extensive focus on federal government/agency projects Proven experience delivering IFC design packages for federal facilities Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Active Professional Engineering (PE) license in the U.S. (multiple state licenses preferred) Exceptional communication skills related to presentations, speaking, and written work Why Arcadis

Nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO accrue per year. Salary range: $110,000 - $180,000.
