Osborn Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 10-20 years of experience for our office, reporting to the Manager of Structural Engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a consulting engineering environment working with private and public sector clients.

Position Responsibilities

Supervise staff or perform the following:

Design of new structures and modifications to existing buildings

Preparation of structural integrity and assessment reports

Design and detailing of structures including calculations and computer modeling for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber

Manage and coordinate projects with clients and other disciplines

Collaborate with senior engineers on structural work products

Prepare design deliverables for SD, DD, CD documents

Coordinate with architectural, electrical, mechanical drawings and attend meetings

Perform site reviews and construction administration services during construction

Review designs prepared by others as part of QA/QC

Attend meetings with clients, authorities, and professionals

Work planning and managing the design process within available hours

Project and client management

Prepare proposals and administer project contracts, including Add Service Agreements

Job Requirements/Qualifications

10-20 years of structural design experience in consulting engineering

Knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as REVIT, RISA 3D, RISA Floor, ADAPT

Proficiency in local and national building codes and design practices

Experience in designing healthcare, sports, commercial, public sector, industrial, education, and institutional projects

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Structural or Civil Engineering

PE/SE license preferred
