Lead Azure System Engineer role at
NVR, Inc.
on-site in Reston, VA. Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure Azure cloud infrastructure solutions. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of Azure resources across environments. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to configure and deploy hybrid solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. Monitor, analyze, and optimize Azure infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Investigate and resolve complex system issues escalated from the Help Desk or identified during design and development phases. Stay up to date with emerging Azure technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including requirements, architecture diagrams, design specifications, and test plans. Experience with M365, Intune, PP&C, UEM, and IAM is a strong plus. Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of Azure Services Models (Serverless, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Experience with cloud security, best practices and compliance (e.g., Azure Security Center, Azure Policy) and Azure Cost Optimization. Must have Azure certifications (Azure Administrator is a minimum). Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
