A well-respected, award-winning consultancy is growing its structural team and searching for a Senior Structural Engineer to lead projects across the US. They provide services in civil, environmental, structural, and marine engineering, along with surveying, planning, and construction administration.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, assess, and deliver a variety of structures for public and private clients. Typical markets include industrial, commercial, municipal, institutional, residential, marine, and energy. Projects can range from treatment plants, pump stations, and water control facilities to buildings, bridges, marinas and piers.
Lead structural design using concrete, steel, masonry, aluminum, cold-formed steel, wood, and composite materials. From concept through construction administration.
Deliver structural design, analysis, condition assessments, reports, and specifications.
Lead and mentor engineers, EITs, and designers.
Oversee workloads and coordinate across disciplines for smooth delivery.
Support business development by preparing scope, schedules, and budgets.
Manage quality control reviews and uphold technical standards.
Conduct site visits, condition assessments, and provide construction oversight.
Prepare cost opinions, review submittals, respond to contractor questions, and offer field support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (minimum)
Active Professional Engineer license
10-15+ years of structural design experience with broad exposure to various building and infrastructure types
Proficient in RISA, SAP2000, Mathcad, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Revit
Experience designing with steel, concrete, masonry, wood, aluminum, and composite systems
Skilled in finite element modeling and design calculations
Demonstrated ability to mentor teams, manage workloads, and deliver projects on time and within budget
