Lead project planning, coordination, and execution with minimal oversight Manage conceptual design to construction drawing development for multiple small and medium-sized projects Develop designs compliant with Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards Handle HVAC calculations, design, and layout of equipment, duct, and piping systems Engage engineering applications and/or managers in project decisions Coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Service departments, Controls, and trade partners Conduct economic and energy analyses Assist with field engineering tasks such as project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and troubleshooting Ensure quality of design drawings and models Communicate effectively with colleagues and project team members Manage time to meet project schedules and deadlines Oversee design team members as requested by the Manager Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager Requirements:
1-4 years of HVAC Mechanical engineering experience and Bachelor's degree in ME or Construction engineering Professional Engineer license is highly desirable but not mandatory Over three years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or as a consultant Comprehensive understanding of systems and applications Excellent knowledge of Building Codes and industry standards Strong grasp of engineering and design fundamentals Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit Knowledge of psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and control systems The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably believe we would pay at posting for this role. The actual pay may be more or less, based on various factors. Employee pay is based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. The range may be updated in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried employees receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless legally required. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of compensation are at Kforce's discretion and may change. This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives, or commissions.
