Mid-Level Electrical Engineer
to join our Power & Energy team in
Houston, TX . The following locations will also be considered: Seattle, WA; Hailey, ID; Boise, ID; Overland Park, KS; Atlanta, GA; Oradell, NJ; and Mt. Laurel, NJ. The candidate will be involved in projects with our Power Generation Team and be part of a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves challenges. Lead and support electrical engineering on design of power generation projects Lead and support electrical engineering on the design of renewable energy projects Lead and support electrical engineering on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades Lead and support electrical engineering on federal electrical system upgrades Mentor and teach junior engineers Project proposal and budget development Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering 3+ years of detailed electrical design engineering experience, including calculations, equipment specifications, etc. 3+ years of relay coordination and schematic design Engineer in Training Certification CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Engineering Essential Professional Licensure/Certification Previous experience leading a group of engineers is a plus 3+ years of detailed design engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations is a plus 3+ years of owners engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations is a plus Benefits and Compensation

Compensation: Expected Salary (all locations): $73,100 - $125,400. WSP USA reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range based on qualifications and location. WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
