The role is for a Landscape Architect Project Manager to lead meaningful projects across New England, contributing to resilient and equitable communities. What You’ll Do
Manage landscape architecture and multidisciplinary projects throughout New England. Plan, design, and build resilient and equitable spaces (parks, trails, streetscapes, plazas, memorials, campuses, and athletic amenity complexes). Assist with RFQ/RFP responses and interviews to help secure new work. Design iconic landscapes and contribute to a growing landscape architecture practice. Collaborate with resilience planners, multi-discipline engineers and architects, and subconsultants to deliver projects on time, on budget, and of high quality. Manage clients, staff, and project partners. Contribute to an upbeat, respectful, diverse, and talented culture of design excellence. As an ESOP and company owner, make informed decisions in the best interest of all Weston & Sampson employees. Mentor younger staff and support a diverse and collaborative working environment to learn and grow. Report to Team Leaders and support the goals of the Design Discipline for Landscape Architecture. Travel regionally as necessary for project meetings and site visits. What You Will Bring
Bachelor and/or master’s degree in landscape architecture required. LICENSURE is preferred (Registered Landscape Architect). Relationships with state/local municipal clients, institutional and private clients, and partner consulting firms. A positive, team-oriented attitude capable of managing multidisciplinary design teams and mentoring younger staff. Design rigor and technical skills to deliver projects from conceptual design through construction administration and project closeout. 8–12+ years’ experience required. Technical skills to ensure the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of assigned tasks and projects. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and other rendering software (Rhino, Lumion, SketchUp, etc.). Strong writing skills for technical memos, scope development, technical approaches, emails, and reports. Strong communication skills for explaining complex ideas to clients and the public, scheduling and task management, coordination with internal and external teams, client engagement, and feedback.
