Goldbelt Apex, LLC is looking for a Biomedical Equipment Technician II to perform a variety of Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician II (BMET II) duties in the Health Equipment Management Branch (HEMB), Medical Maintenance Section, at TAMC. Responsibilities

Conduct scheduled (preventive maintenance inspections) and unscheduled (repairs) services of medical equipment to include visual inspections, electrical safety inspections, calibration, and performance verification. Interpretation of scheduled services results to determine whether equipment is safe and operating within manufacturer’s specifications. Contract personnel shall document and manage all entries of preventive maintenance inspections and equipment repairs in the designated system of record. Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of technical aspects of electronic equipment and its operation, repair and maintenance. Knowledge of the application and repair of computers and servers and how they interface with medical equipment. Knowledge of current regulatory requirements. Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology as applied to use of biomedical equipment. Knowledge of color code conventions used in component and wiring marking. Ability to analyze, repair, and test electronic and electromechanical equipment. Ability to perform preventive maintenance inspections. Ability to run diagnostic programs. Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and illustrated parts drawings of biomedical instrumentation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment; to push/pull equipment carts; and to kneel, stand, bend, and reach during equipment repair. Skill in testing electronic equipment. Minimum Qualifications

Graduate of a Biomedical Equipment Specialist/Technician Course, Associates, or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Engineering. Minimum of four years of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical devices/systems. Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $92,000 annually. Goldbelt provides a competitive base salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
