Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders, in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Requirements
Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
DEA License
CPR BLS certified
Master's Degree in Nursing
Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Experience in Pulmonology or respiratory care
Preferred experience with documenting in EMR systems (training provided)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
