This role involves providing speech therapy services within the Rehabilitation Department to support quality of care and department effectiveness. Responsibilities
Perform all phases of speech therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment, and documentation, and support related tasks to ensure quality of care and effective department function. Evaluate patients and participate in treatment program planning; administer speech therapy modalities, procedures, and tests; document accurate patient records and progress notes. Maintain appropriate oral or written contact with referring physicians and coworkers; ensure a clean and safe work environment by identifying unsafe conditions and malfunctions and applying corrective procedures. Participate in departmental functions and activities as required, including in-service education, clerical and other tasks relevant to effective department function. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Licensed, or eligible for licensure, by the State of California Board of Medical Quality Assurance (LIC SLP). Current and valid CPR-AHA certification (CT CPRBLS). Preferred Requirements:
Two years professional experience as a speech therapist. Experience working with adult and pediatric language and speech disorders, including swallowing. New graduates will be considered on an individual basis. Special Skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with the patient-care team, physicians, and patients and their families. Knowledge of principles, techniques, and procedures within the scope of practice as a Speech Therapist; ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently; able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to teach speech therapy techniques to patients and caregivers. Pay and Employment Details

$53.15 - $63.18
