Neurosurgery - Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant Location: 85 Seymour Street - HHMOB (10117) | Shift: Mon-Fri Join Hartford HealthCare Medical Group as we live our values of Excellence, Safety, Caring, and Integrity. We are one of the largest medical practices in New England, offering primary and specialty care across Connecticut and Rhode Island. This physician-led group provides a wide range of services and a collaborative environment for patient care. Role scope includes involvement in neurosurgery with opportunities for clinic and operating room work as a first assist, in collaboration with a neurosurgeon and a team of experienced advanced practitioners. Responsibilities
Participate in work-up, planning, and surgical procedures, including advanced cranial and spine surgeries (craniotomies for epilepsy, tumors, and trauma; complex spine cases) 1:1 training with a neurosurgeon Clinic duties and operating room time as a 1st Assist Collaborate with a team of advanced practitioners with substantial Neurosurgery experience Establish patient-centered care and contribute to multi-disciplinary planning Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master’s program Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Connecticut Certification or eligible for certification as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an APRN RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) certification required for APRN Preferred >1 year of Surgical PA experience in Neurosurgery or Orthopedics; 1st Assist in OR preferred Benefits
