Overview
Medical Laboratory Scientist I - Chicago, IL. Rotating Schedule Monday-Friday 3:00PM-11:30PM with rotational weekends. Part-time position available. Forturne 500 company leading in diagnostic information services.
Job Details Pay Range: $25.84 - $42.63 per hour. Eligible for shift differential of 10% on some or all second-shift hours and 15% on some or all third-shift hours. Salary offers are based on factors including skills, training, experience, and certifications. Eligible for annual performance bonus where applicable.

Responsibilities
Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, reporting, and record-keeping of patient test results.
Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested the same as patient specimens.
Analyze specimens using approved procedures.
Review and release test results.
Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
Adhere to laboratory policies when test systems are outside established performance levels.
Identify and address problems that may affect test performance or reporting; notify senior technologist or supervisor as needed.
Qualifications
Education: BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.
Work Experience: 1 year clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred.
