Overview
Missouri Baptist Medical Center is an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offering a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The designation is the highest credential for nursing excellence and quality patient care, achieved by less than nine percent of hospitals nationwide. U.S. News & World Report also ranks the hospital highly in the St. Louis metro area. The Surgical Services department consists of 22 ORs including three heart team rooms and the da Vinci robotic surgical system.
Role Surgical Technologist
role providing safe patient care in the operating room under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Previous surgery experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Prepares operating room for surgical patients, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains necessary supplies and equipment, ensures cleanliness of the room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
Assists in turnover of the room and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to their proper location.
Minimum Requirements
Education : High School Diploma or GED
Experience : No Experience required

Compensation Base pay range:
$24.33/hr - $31.30/hr . This range is provided by Missouri Baptist Medical Center; actual pay is based on skills and experience. Please speak with your recruiter to learn more.
Additional Information Shift: Monday to Friday, 4 - 10s (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) with day off rotation. $12,500 Sign-on Bonus.
