The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for performing and analyzing complex laboratory tests to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role ensures accuracy in specimen handling, testing, and reporting while maintaining compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and quality control standards. Responsibilities

Perform specimen handling, processing, and analysis following laboratory procedures and SOPs. Review, interpret, and release patient test results with accuracy. Maintain records for patient results, QC, proficiency testing, and calibrations. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve testing issues or escalate to supervisor. Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety policies. Train/review new procedures and participate in educational meetings. Communicate STAT or critical results to clients per department policy. Maintain department appearance, supplies, and reagent logs. Support inspections and regulatory compliance activities as needed. Qualifications

BS in Medical Technology ; BS/BA in Chemistry, Biology, or Associate degree in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology accepted. Certification (ASCP or AMT); eligibility required. Knowledge of laboratory testing, QC/QA, and safety standards. Strong computer and multitasking skills; ability to prioritize and work independently. Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing required (2+ years Chemistry experience). Must meet CLIA requirements; foreign candidates must provide credential evaluation. Must maintain patient confidentiality and follow regulatory compliance. Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and work safely in a lab environment. Job Details

8 hour shifts. Must be flexible. Starting at $30.00/hr (Based on experience) + benefits Full benefits - healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program. Temp-to-Hire opportunity
