Overview
Neuropsychologist (Full time) – Inpatient position at the Drucker Brain Injury Center, Jefferson Moss‑Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, Elkins Park, PA. The Neuropsychologist conducts neuropsychological assessments and provides psychological treatment for adults with traumatic and acquired brain injuries. The role includes supporting families, addressing adjustment and coping challenges, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities
Provide neuropsychological and psychological services in the inpatient Drucker Brain Injury Center, focusing on adults with traumatic or acquired brain injuries and their families. Offer brain injury education and supportive counseling to patients and families to aid coping and decision-making. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, social work, and other allied health professionals. Assist the team in understanding the neuropsychological status of individuals and collaboratively develop treatment plans and behavior interventions. Conduct cognitive and behavioral assessments using a variety of methods, including evidence-based assessment tools, clinical interviews, and direct observation; document findings in the electronic medical record. Engage in supervision and teaching activities, including didactics and supervision of graduate psychology trainees. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, primary care providers, patients, and community agencies. Comply with hospital and Network policies regarding confidentiality and emergency procedures; understand personal role in events of disaster or emergency. Qualifications
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA‑accredited university. Specialization in Neuropsychology strongly preferred. ABPP certified or eligible preferred. Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Clinical experience with brain injury required. Work Details
