Our Oncology Pharmacists collaborate with a team of expert cancer doctors, researchers, and nurses to advance leading-edge research and treatment innovations for cancer patients. As a Pharmacy Oncology Clinical Coordinator at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, you will support the enterprise value-based initiatives through oversight over Oncology P&T and 13 Oncology DRG guideline development committees responsible for development of evidence-based guidelines. You will collaborate with the Clinical Efficiency Value team in developing innovative approaches in managing our oncology patients effectively. Be our designated Oncology PGY2 Residency Program Director (RPD) to ensure the program follows accreditation standards. Ability to work from home 50%. Responsibilities
Provide oversight over Oncology P&T and 13 Oncology DRG guideline development committees, contributing to evidence-based guideline development. Collaborate with the Clinical Efficiency Value team to develop innovative approaches for managing oncology patients. Serve as the Oncology PGY2 Residency Program Director (RPD) to ensure accreditation standards are met. Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy Licenses:
Current pharmacist licensure in the State of California. BLS certification as outlined in Pharmacist Responsibilities in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Board Certification in Oncology, preferred or intent to obtain board certification within 1 calendar year. Experience:
Relevant pharmacist experience Prefer completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 oncology residency and minimum of three years of additional practice experience in oncology; or a minimum of five years of experience in oncology practice if the ASHP PGY2 residency is not completed. Physical Demands:
Frequent standing; walking, bending; reaching, occasional sitting, pushing & pulling, lifting up to 40 pounds for distances up to 10 feet. Responsive to auditory alarms and communication devices (telephones, beepers, fire alarms, mechanical failure alarms). Sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients, and other people. Ability to read information on medication labels. Work environment may include exposure to minimal but constant noise, repetitive hand motions, and incidental exposure to hazards associated with preparation of hazardous medications. Some functions may require use of personal protective equipment and standard infection control precautions.
