The opportunity is for an experienced Senior Cosmetic Chemist to lead formulation development and manufacturing scale-up for a growing portfolio of skincare and personal care products. This role requires deep formulation expertise, strong knowledge of GMPs, and hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and processes to guide products from bench-top prototypes to large-scale production. Responsibilities

Lead the development, optimization, and validation of innovative skincare and cosmetic formulations. Oversee scale-up, batching, and technology transfer from lab to pilot and full-scale manufacturing. Design and refine processes to improve efficiency, reproducibility, and cost-effectiveness at scale. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior chemists and technicians. Troubleshoot complex formulation and manufacturing issues, both in lab and on the production floor. Ensure GMP compliance across formulation, testing, and production. Maintain technical documentation including formulation records, batch sheets, SOPs, and scale-up protocols. Collaborate with operations, quality, and regulatory teams to deliver science-first, market-ready products. Qualifications

BS degree in Cosmetic Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (MS or higher strongly preferred). 5+ years of industry experience in cosmetic formulation and manufacturing. Proven track record of scale-up, batching, and technology transfer from lab to production. Strong knowledge of GMPs, raw materials, emulsions, surfactants, polymers, and preservation systems. Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment (e.g., kettles, mixers, homogenizers, filling lines) and process design. Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills

Experience with high-volume production environments. Familiarity with cost optimization and raw material sourcing. Ability to establish and enforce best practices in lab and production environments. Seniority level
