The work in Digital is a strategic imperative with a growing understanding of how we will transform Mass General Brigham in innovative and impactful ways. Position: Senior BI Analyst/Developer certified in Epic Cogito. You will provide analytics insights and develop data solutions to support clinical and business operations, gathering requirements, performing analyses, and designing, developing, and maintaining complex reports and databases. You will serve as an Epic subject matter expert, leveraging tools like Clarity, Caboodle, and Snowflake to create data presentations. You will mentor team members, contribute to process improvement, and stay current with emerging technologies to ensure optimal performance. You will report to the Cogito Analytics Manager. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address analytic and reporting needs across clinical and business operations. Gather user requirements and translate them into well-designed and validated BI solutions using Cogito SQL, Clarity, Caboodle, and SlicerDicer. Develop, test, and implement reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions primarily utilizing Epic Cogito Data and Analytic Platform, Snowflake, and SQL Server. Create and edit Stored Procedures, Views, Functions and Queries on SQL Server to pull required data for reporting purposes using SQL Server Management Studio. Develop dynamic reports enabling end users to define parameters to filter and aggregate as required; create custom reports for drill-down. Configure and create packages for report distribution using Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio’s Integration Services. Serve as a resource and mentor for Analysts/Developers, sharing best practices and providing training. Maintain and improve processes related to data gathering, analysis, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and data quality. Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize software performance with end-users. Stay current with emerging software technologies and industry trends to recommend enhancements and innovations. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely and successful delivery of analytics solutions. Provide expertise in relational databases, report writing tools, and Epic data models, contributing to the development and maintenance of complex reports and databases. Document detailed specifications, conduct unit testing, and provide end-user support for analytics solutions. Participate in on-call coverage. Maintain confidentiality with regard to sensitive data and adhere to organizational standards while applying analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve system issues. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience may be accepted. Certification in Epic Cogito Fundamentals and relevant data models. 5+ years of experience in healthcare data analytics or SQL reporting, preferably with electronic medical records systems. Skills, Abilities and Competencies

Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and report writing tools (e.g., Crystal Reports, Business Objects, or Tableau). Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a changing environment. Commitment to continuous improvement, personal growth, and collaboration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Understanding of clinical and business operations workflows and system configurations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management and organizational skills. Detail oriented with experience leading projects from initiation to completion. Attentive and intellectually curious, with perseverance to aid and resolve issues. Comfortable organizing and leading discussions with end-users and leadership. Experience with ITIL service desk functionality. Proficiency in SQL, Windows and MS Office 365; familiarity with ServiceNow, Microsoft ADO, Workfront or similar tools. Uses critical thinking to develop content. Ability to work effectively in a complex and agile environment while remaining flexible and adaptable. High-energy, high-impact, team-oriented professional with strong relationship-building. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by effectively using Mass General Brigham resources. Working Conditions

This position is hybrid: 1-3 days on-site per week, Monday–Friday Eastern Business Hours, with planned on-site workshops or meetings at Assembly Row offices. Local travel to MGB sites, vendors, or conferences. Additional Job Details
