Territory to include Ohio/Indiana What you will do

This is a field-based position for the Bone Health Medical Science Liaison (Bone MSL) therapeutic area within the US Medical team. The Bone Health Sr. MSL will interact with Bone Opinion Leaders and Population Healthcare Decision Makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen's corporate goals and objectives. Responsibilities

Field-based medical expert in the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) group within the medical organization Communicate accurate, clear, and valued information regarding science and products to multiple levels within the medical community; provide field observations to internal stakeholders Support Scientific Engagement Plan (SEP) in developing local territory R&D tactics Engage and educate healthcare stakeholders (including APPs, fellows, and residents) by communicating clinical and scientific data; advance the scientific platform aligned with Amgen’s goals Educate and communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key stakeholders, advocacy, and access enablers Provide in-depth clinical and pharmacoeconomic support to payers, IDNs, and formulary committees; give feedback to internal stakeholders on customer trends in interpreting and using value evidence, reimbursement, and payer policy; may serve as main medical point of contact at prioritized local payer, regional payer, and IDN accounts Respond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with MSL compliance standards Provide and/or present field observations and insights to internal stakeholders Execute scientific engagement plan according to annual MSL goals and metrics Develop and implement local OL plans in line with SEP Support speaker training as requested and ensure speakers are updated on new data Support Amgen sponsored research; may serve as study lead Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research and facilitate submission of investigator-initiated pre-clinical and clinical proposals Lead and/or participate on project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadership Lead and support congress activities aligned with strategy; may serve as congress lead Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional colleagues; may serve as main point of contact Maintain clinical acumen and timely completion of assigned training; may serve as training lead, new hire mentor, and/or international MSL mentor/trainer Advance MSL value proposition, identify gaps, achieve results, and exemplify Amgen values and leadership attributes Demonstrate tact and professionalism in communication and interactions Plan and organize work Build relationships and influence others Achieve high performance Maintain industry and clinical acumen Leverage clinical and therapeutic expertise Effective problem solving and decision making Develop personal and professional capabilities Communicate effectively Demonstrate professional leadership and integrity Exemplify Amgen values Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree & 2 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Master’s degree & 6 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 8 years of Medical Affairs experience Preferred Qualifications

Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., DNP (other doctoral degrees considered) 3+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison Five years of industry experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company Managed market/payer/IDN engagement experience Five or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research; experience in a medically related field may include post-doctoral training Bone health/osteoporosis expertise What you can expect of us

Salary Range 189,792.00 USD - 213,579.00 USD
