Take responsibility for the preparation and execution of Rolling Stock bids, ensuring strategy, planning, and milestones are aligned. Facilitate alignment across the extended bid team to ensure high-quality, efficient, and timely contributions. Manage risks and opportunities: Identify key differentiators, risks, and opportunities, and propose strategies to enhance competitiveness. Promote continuous improvement by collecting and applying lessons learned and best practices from past bids. Present progress and outcomes in reviews with senior management and act as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. What you need to thrive
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage. Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in bid or proposal management, ideally in large-scale infrastructure, transportation, or industrial sectors. Proven project management skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver complex projects with multiple stakeholders under tight timelines. Solid technical understanding and hands-on experience in at least one segment: light rail, passenger coaches, or locomotives. Strong commercial and contractual competence; experience with risk assessment and alignment to business objectives is a plus. Knowledge of the North American Rolling Stock market, its customers, and competitive environment. A collaborative leadership style and experience working across diverse, cross-functional teams. An organized, agile work style, comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of proposal tools and systems is advantageous.
