Central Region Transit Market Sector Leader — HDR. The role involves partnering with regional management and the Global Transit Market Sector Director to develop and execute transit and rail market strategies throughout the Central Region. Responsibilities include market opportunity assessment, client management, coordinating technical and marketing teams, staff growth and development, program and project management, and improving the technical competencies of market sector staff to meet client needs and market drivers. Responsibilities
Strategic Project and Program Leadership – lead multi-discipline projects and programs across market sectors and geographic areas; provide senior technical support, quality oversight, best practice development, project leadership, and principal-level program/project management for large capital programs and traditional or alternative delivery methods. Strategic Planning and Program Growth – drive program growth for transit, intercity, and freight rail market sectors; support internal and external client relationships, recruiting and staff development, major pursuit coordination, capture planning, pre-proposal activities, proposal coordination with technical and marketing staff, presentations, and negotiations. Global Transit Market Sector Program Growth – assist the Global Transit Market Sector Director in setting the vision to expand services and win contracts; support development and continuous improvement of the market to align with market needs and staff development. Qualifications
Required: A minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation planning and/or engineering with a majority of that experience within the market sector. Required: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, planning or a related field. If an engineer, maintain engineering registration. Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services, and in managing a wide range of client relationships and program/project pursuits. Experience in staff development, recruiting, career path planning, and professional growth; active involvement in industry associations and a visible market sector profile. Ability to work cooperatively with Market Sector Directors, Business Class Directors, Regional leaders and area managers. Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture. 15 years in leading transit engineering and planning services for major transportation infrastructure development. Experience with major capital programs from planning through design and construction for private, federal, state, and local clients. Deep client relationships with transit and rail agencies or other private entities in the Central Region and proven success in this area. Experience with transit funding program eligibility and requirements. Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for the transportation industry. Why HDR

Primary Location: United States-Minnesota-Minneapolis. Other locations include several states. Compensation ranges vary by location and experience. For Colorado, the range is $162,205 - $210,430 annually. Other listed ranges include Minnesota, Illinois, and related regions as applicable.
