The Senior Process Engineer is a key member of the site Process Engineering Department and a critical support member of Business Teams. Build and expand your technical network internally and externally. Develop value creation ideas and perform economic analyses for units and technologies. Monitor long-term unit performance against industry benchmarks. Support the development of monitoring tools for chemical technologies (Reforming, Extraction, Xylenes, Cumene, Solvents). Audit performance reports and calculations. Review benchmark studies (Solomon, PTAI). Ensure projects meet business objectives technically. Mentor production engineers during troubleshooting and monitoring activities. Support high-profile troubleshooting as needed. Assist operations with experiment design and process guidelines. Manage process modeling programs, including building models with software like HYSYS. Support other physics-based modeling programs. Provide technical support for turnaround programs and scoping. Contribute to process safety and environmental performance through PHA, MOC, and investigations. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Minimum of 10 years of refining or chemical plant process engineering experience. Experience with Reforming, Extraction, Parex, Xylene Isomerization, Cumene units. What Will Put You Ahead
15+ years of refinery experience. 5+ years of process engineering experience with chemical units. Experience leading projects in an oil refinery. Process modeling with Aspen HYSYS. Leadership in cross-functional teams. This role requires obtaining a TWIC badge for access to the facility.
