Overview
Base pay range: $43.32/hr - $49.52/hr

We are seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II to provide onsite maintenance support for Life Flight Network aircraft, including management of base inventory, planning and scheduling aircraft maintenance, maintenance of the base library and LFN-owned ground support equipment. The Aircraft Mechanic II also participates in aviation maintenance activities to support LFN’s FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate.
Responsibilities
Inspect and repair aircraft parts, components, and systems.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, systems, and parts for base operations.
Inspect completed work and ensure compliance with schedules; update maintenance manuals and regulatory directives.
Coordinate ordering, shipping, receiving of parts, supplies, tools, and warranty claims.
Maintain and clean interior and exterior of aircraft; coordinate maintenance schedules with the Maintenance Manager.
Maintain documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and company policy; ensure maintenance is correctly performed and documented.
Analyze and troubleshoot technical/inspection issues and provide guidance on resolutions.
Support continuous quality management and be aware of LFN goals.
Travel by personal or company vehicle within LFN’s service area as required; valid driver’s license and automobile in good repair; provide proof of auto insurance and meet Driver’s Policy requirements.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Completion of two years of an Aviation Science trade or vocational school, or equivalent education/experience.
Five years as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic.
Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
Inspection Authorization Certification preferred.
Thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
Three years of FAR 135 turbine rotorcraft maintenance experience.
Three years’ experience with EMS helicopter programs preferred.
Maintenance experience on Bell 407, Bell 429, EC135 and PC12 desirable; avionics experience desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong analytical and customer service skills.
Strong work ethic with a team-oriented approach.
Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug test.
Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Ability to take initiative and improve procedures.
General Accountabilities and Essential Functions
Inspect and repair aircraft parts, components, and systems.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, systems, and parts for base operations.
Perform inspections of completed work and equipment based on maintenance schedule.
Update and maintain maintenance manuals, service bulletins, parts books, and regulatory updates.
Coordinate ordering, shipping, receiving of parts, supplies, tools, and warranty claims.
Keep aircraft interiors and exteriors clean and well-maintained.
Coordinate aircraft maintenance schedules with the Maintenance Manager.
Maintain work area, materials, and tools; prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.
Ensure all maintenance is completed and documented correctly.
Analyze and troubleshoot technical and inspection issues; provide guidance and resolutions.
Apply mathematical and analytical skills to duties; support continuous quality management.
Perform other duties as required.
