The Toolmaker will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and repairing precision molds and tooling used in the injection molding process. This role requires a strong understanding of mold-making techniques, machining processes, and quality control to ensure the production of high-quality plastic components that meet customer specifications. Key Responsibilities

Mold Fabrication:

Construct, assemble, and test precision injection molds based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and customer specifications. Tool Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on molds and tooling to ensure optimal performance and minimize production downtime. Machining:

Operate and set up various machine tools, including CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines, to produce mold components with tight tolerances. Quality Assurance:

Inspect finished molds and components using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) to ensure compliance with specifications. Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to provide input on mold design, manufacturability, and process improvements. Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of mold maintenance, repairs, and modifications, including updating technical drawings and work logs. Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment in the toolroom. Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or technical training in tool and die making preferred. Experience:

3+ years of experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics injection molding. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating CNC machines, lathes, grinders, and EDM equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files. Knowledge of mold design, materials, and heat treatment processes. Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality control processes. Experience with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, Mastercam). Certification in tool and die making or similar a plus. Seniority level and Employment type
