We are seeking an experienced
Reverse Engineer
to take a leading role in advancing our industry-leading vehicle calibration suite. This is a hands-on, software-focused position where you will apply your deep knowledge of reverse engineering, embedded systems, and automotive protocols to solve complex technical challenges. Salary:
$140,000+ + amazing benefits package. Base pay range provided by Spectrum IT Recruitment: $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Location:

What you’ll be doing
Performing
reverse engineering
of automotive binary files to extract and map calibration parameters. Using
IDA Pro
and
Ghidra
extensively to analyse and understand low-level software and firmware. Designing and implementing high-quality, maintainable software in
C++ ,
C# ,
Python , and assembly (x86, PPC, TriCore, Renesas SH/RH). Applying advanced debugging and optimisation techniques to ensure peak software performance. Collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of software-hardware systems. Supporting software validation and verification to meet automotive safety and compliance standards. Leading and mentoring other engineers, driving best practices in reverse engineering and embedded software development. Contributing innovative solutions to complex problems in vehicle calibration and control systems.
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, plus
6+ years of relevant experience . Expert-level skills in
IDA Pro
and
Ghidra
(essential). Strong proficiency in
C++ ,
C# ,
Python , and assembly programming. Proven experience with automotive communication protocols ( CAN ,
K-Line ,
VPW/PWM ). Solid understanding of engine and transmission operation. Skilled with automotive programming tools and development environments ( Visual Studio ,
Team Foundation Server ). Strong problem-solving, debugging, and time management abilities. Track record of working independently on complex projects. Effective communicator with leadership and mentoring experience.
