Bechtel Corporation Be among the first 25 applicants The Lead I&C Commissioning & Startup-OSBL (Outside Battery Limits) is responsible for overall organizing and directing of the I&C CSU team activities (Within OSBL) including co-ordination with client, sub-contractor, and suppliers. Coordinate OSBL I&C equipment pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup testing. Responsible for I&C systems and components under care, custody, and control of the commissioning team. Major Responsibilities Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques, guidelines, procedures, and criteria. Devises new approaches to startup, maintenance, operation, or testing. Provide supervision for a wide range of I&C equipment and system testing & commissioning activities to the CSU team. Participate in walk down of systems for turnover from Construction to CSU to Client. Direct CSU Supervisors during testing & commissioning phase in support of System Engineers. Coordinate with Construction team during testing & commissioning phase to ensure safe execution. Work with CSU subcontractors, supplier representatives & other discipline teams during testing & commissioning phase to ensure proper documentation of testing. Support LOTO activities by review during work preparation, and 100% compliance of craft sign on/off during execution of work. Support home office activities, including input to the Execution Plan, Staffing Plan, CSU Strategy, etc. Work with Engineering during Model Reviews. Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of startup, operations, or maintenance for a project, including reviews of designs for plant operability and safety and jobsite pre-commissioning and startup assignments as directed. Education And Experience Requirements Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge And Skills Good knowledge & experience of gas production equipment and I&C systems. Good knowledge of I&C requirements for completion of construction and startup of Gas Turbines, Compressors, Process Pumps and Fans. Good knowledge & experience of testing, commissioning, start-up, operation & turnover practices. Strong knowledge of process electrical isolation to perform safe I&C tasks. Good knowledge & experience in PTW, STARRT, JHA, LOTO procedures & practices. Good leadership skills & able to supervise craft for testing, startup and operations activity.
