Area Vice President - Northeast Sales role at ExtraHop. This role leads in-region quota-carrying sales managers and drives revenue growth by identifying, recruiting, and developing opportunities for direct sales and partnerships with resellers. Responsibilities
Drive agreed-upon sales strategies and processes to meet and exceed sales goals. Develop sales plans including target setting and allocation of named accounts. Lead a sales team to operate as a cohesive unit, not a collection of individuals. Hire, train, motivate, and retain an effective sales force and role-model strong leadership. Manage the team’s pipeline, qualify opportunities, and accurately forecast business. Provide timely field feedback to other departments within ExtraHop. Accurately forecast business on a weekly basis. Collaborate with resellers and partners to grow business in the territory. Meet or exceed sales team booking targets and PoV (Proof of Value) plans. Support the Regional Sales Managers in achieving targets, closing new accounts, and growing revenues in existing customers. Identify prospects, perform cold calls and lead follow-up, and conduct face-to-face meetings. Build and maintain a qualified pipeline to cover four times the target and align best practices with the Inside Sales team. Define win strategies for key opportunities and engage senior executives to understand business, decision-making, and financing processes. Present and demonstrate ExtraHop products to customers and obtain customer and competitor feedback for field intelligence. Prepare and implement strategic sales account plans and identify growth opportunities within the customer base. Ensure resellers, field sales engineers, and management collaborate effectively in the sales process, lead generation, forecasting revenue, and achieving revenue goals. Coach and support the ramp-up and development of the sales force capabilities. Prepare and maintain an accurate territory sales forecast and serve as the executive sponsor for key customers in the region. Maintain Salesforce hygiene within required parameters. Qualifications
Four-year degree or equivalent in a related discipline (e.g., information technology, computer science, business, or engineering). 5-10 years of experience managing remote field sales teams. Track record of success selling technical solutions and articulate ExtraHop’s value proposition effectively. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proven history of sales success in security, cloud, network, or application management or related IT infrastructure solutions. Demonstrated ability to secure meetings and close deals with senior-level executives. Solid understanding of enterprise security and acute commercial skills with knowledge of Cloud, Capex/Opex and finance considerations. Strong independent work ethic and experience working in a dynamic culture. Existing senior-level relationships at enterprise accounts in the territory. Ability to travel. Compensation
The base salary for this position is between $190,000 - $205,000 on a 50/50 split. About ExtraHop
