Senior Estimator - Light Industrial Construction

Job Description
Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for multifamily projects across all phases (conceptual, schematic, design development, and final bids).
Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work, project requirements, and potential risks.
Develop accurate quantity take-offs, labor, material, and equipment pricing for multiple trades.
Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure competitive and complete pricing.
Collaborate with project managers, preconstruction, and operations teams to align estimates with budgets and project goals.
Prepare bid packages, proposals, and presentations for clients.
Track historical cost data and market trends to improve accuracy of future estimates.
Identify value engineering opportunities to maximize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Participate in client and subcontractor meetings to clarify scope, pricing, and scheduling expectations.
Mentor and support junior estimators in developing estimating skills and best practices.
Ensure compliance with company processes, industry standards, and safety requirements during preconstruction phases.

7+ years of estimating experience, with a strong background in light industrial projects
Proven track record preparing accurate conceptual and detailed estimates
Proficiency in estimating software (Bluebeam, OST, Sage/Timberline, or similar) and Excel
Strong understanding of construction means, methods, codes, and market pricing
Effective communication and presentation skills with clients, architects, and subcontractors
Ability to lead estimating efforts and mentor junior team members
Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
Skilled in

outreach, review, and negotiation
Strategic thinker who brings forward cost-saving and value-engineering solutions

Our client is a well-established general contractor based out of Georgia, specializing in commercial, and light industrial projects. Company has been in business for the past 60 years with a strong reputation across various high-level clients. Size of projects between $40MM-$50MM.
Base salary: $130,000 - $145,000 (Package is negotiable subject to experience)
