Overview
We are supporting a global pharmaceutical leader in their search for a Honeywell Experion Engineer to join their automation and controls team at their state-of-the-art facility in Vacaville, CA. This role will focus on configuration, support, and enhancement of the Honeywell Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS) within a highly regulated GMP manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical projects in the pharmaceutical industry, working with advanced automation systems that support large-scale biopharmaceutical production. ASAP Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Honeywell Experion PKS systems to support manufacturing operations. Develop, implement, and test control strategies, sequences, and logic for process automation. Provide batch configuration and support (preferred), or sequencing/SCM (Sequence & Control Module) configuration if batch experience is limited. Collaborate with process engineers, automation engineers, and IT teams to ensure reliable operation of automation systems. Support commissioning, validation, and qualification activities in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements. Assist with change management, documentation, and technical reporting for automation-related projects. Provide day-to-day support to ensure maximum uptime of control systems and minimal impact to production. Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience working with Honeywell Experion PKS (Process Knowledge System). Strong background in system configuration, troubleshooting, and integration. Batch configuration experience highly preferred. Alternatively, strong sequencing/SCM experience will be considered. Familiarity with pharmaceutical, biotech, or other GMP-regulated industries is a plus. Strong understanding of control system architecture, automation standards, and process operations. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. Nice to Have
Experience with additional Honeywell tools (e.g., Experion Batch Manager, Control Builder, C300 controllers). Knowledge of ISA-88 batch standards. Experience supporting automation projects in a regulated manufacturing environment. Exposure to validation and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) processes.
