This is a great opportunity for a designer seeking growth within a reputable industry and company. The Lead Designer will oversee 3-5 fire sprinkler designers, providing leadership, support, and training, working closely with management to coordinate project design and scheduling. Opportunities for leadership training, project management, and sales/estimating are available. Responsibilities
Lead and train a team of 3-5 fire sprinkler designers. Review construction documents, coordinate with subcontractors and general contractors to gather project requirements. Apply analytical thinking to assess construction feasibility and system options. Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD, AutoSprink, HydraCAD, or similar software. Coordinate with other trades via BIM/3D modeling. Prepare material stock lists and perform hydraulic calculations. Develop initial project schedules and maintain design records. Build and maintain positive client relationships. Coordinate with internal departments for project handover. Perform Project Manager duties as needed. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications
NICET III certification. Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoSprink, HydraCAD, or similar software. BIM/3D coordination experience. Project management experience is a plus. Minimum five years in fire sprinkler design. Detail-oriented with strong communication skills. Willingness to teach others and collaborate. Ability to pass drug and background tests.
