Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center
seeks an adult reconstructive surgeon to join four other orthopedic surgeons (1 Arthroplasty, 1 Foot & Ankle, 1 Shoulder, 1 Sports Medicine) in a well-established, busy, hospital-employed, and single-office practice. The surgeons are supported by 1:1 PAs and NPs; skilled anesthesiologists, well-trained surgical technologists, hospitalists, and a nursing staff that completes our team. A strong orthopedic trauma program, with five surgeons, complements our practice. In 2013, we opened a dedicated joint replacement unit and are certified as a Center of Excellence in Joint Arthroplasty. This position also offers the potential to serve as the medical director of the Joint Center of Excellence. Requirements include:
American Board-certification/board-eligibility in orthopedics and fellowship training in Adult Reconstructive Surgery. Additional services include: On-site X-Ray and MRI at both clinic and hospital Two Non-operative Sports Medicine physicians One Non-Operative Oncology / Complex Musculoskeletal Medicine physician Ten Athletic Trainers employed by our practice Dedicated OR Block Time in both Main and Ambulatory ORs State-of-the-art operating theaters In-house ancillary support (PT, OT, Rehab, and Wound Care) Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon Schedule: Weekdays 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a mix of surgery and clinic No ER call responsibilities Benefits for physicians at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center include: Robust compensation and benefits package, including 328 hours of PTO RVU Incentive Bonus Student Loan Reimbursement Programs Relocation and sign-on bonuses Flexible schedules and excellent work/life balance Leadership opportunities Northern Light Health is an integrated healthcare system led clinically and supported administratively.
