Duties, Responsibilities & Other We are seeking a talented
Entertainment / Structural Engineer
to join our growing team. This individual will support the design and engineering of specialty structures, rigging systems, and mechanized systems within the entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in structural engineering and experience working on unique projects such as special structures and entertainment-related installations. Experience with machines, rigging, and/or temporary structures, as well as exposure to fabrication shops and/or construction sites is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural and related engineering design and analysis for entertainment systems.
Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and project teams to develop innovative engineering solutions.
Provide engineering support for the design and fabrication of rigging and mechanized systems used in entertainment environments.
Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with project requirements.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting as needed during investigation, installation and construction phases.
Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
Qualifications Education and/or Skills Required:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program.
Proficiency in required design software such as Risa3D, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good communication and technical writing skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
Ability to maintain required certifications
Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
