As a Quality Engineer, your primary role will involve supporting the production floor by conducting troubleshooting through root cause analysis and investigations. You will apply engineering principles, statistical analysis, and scientific methods to implement corrective actions effectively. Responsibilities
Ensure raw materials, components, and finished products meet quality requirements. Manage supplier interactions and support new product development to ensure supplier compliance. Develop and communicate quality performance expectations, continuous improvement, and process controls to suppliers. Mentor and train supplier representatives in quality systems and problem-solving tools. Conduct supplier audits and follow up on corrective actions. Maintain supplier programs, ratings, and metrics. Essential Skills
Proficiency in quality engineering, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Expertise in statistical process control and lean methodologies. Knowledge of scientific methods and engineering principles like Fishbone, 5 WHYs, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, and 8D. Experience with metals and fabrication, including welding, machining, GD&T, and materials like inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Understanding of quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001. Supplier quality management and first article inspection. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. 5-10+ years in manufacturing. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus. Experience in aerospace manufacturing and supplier quality engineering. The role offers a hands-on environment working with metallic and composite air ducting systems for rockets, with a focus on technical investigations and root cause analysis. Pay range: $90,000 - $105,000/year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), RSUs, and more. This is a fully onsite position in Los Alamitos, CA, closing on June 19, 2025.
