Transmission Planning & Studies Engineer - Senior Level

POWER Engineers . This position is available in multiple POWER office locations with the possibility of remote work from a mutually acceptable location. The candidate may work remotely full-time and travel to POWER offices for periodic meetings. Roles And Responsibilities
This role requires significant experience in utility and ISO network studies, with leadership responsibilities. The individual will interface with other engineers to prepare models and perform power system studies, including feasibility, impact, reactive compensation, stability, planning, short circuit, load flow, interconnection, power factor correction, and related studies. The engineer should have experience in proposal writing, customer interaction, and developing new opportunities. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to explain complex technical issues are essential. Required Education/Experience
BSEE 10+ years in transmission planning system studies Excellent English communication skills Minimum 6 years with PSS/E PE registration or equivalent Experience leading projects and mentoring Familiarity with ERCOT interconnection processes Willing to travel up to 10% Ability to work in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment Desired Education/Experience
MSEE or PhD 10+ years with PSS/E Familiarity with additional RTOs and interconnection processes Additional software experience: PSLF, TARA, PSCAD, Aspen Oneliner, ETAP, Power World Coding and automation experience POWER Engineers, a WSP member, is a global environmental and engineering consulting firm in the energy sector, offering opportunities to work on challenging projects with a collaborative team.
