We are seeking a highly skilled
Crash Structures CAE Specialist
to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing crashworthiness structures to enhance vehicle safety performance. This role requires strong expertise in CAE tools, crashworthiness standards, and the ability to work across the entire vehicle development cycle—from concept design through product launch. Key Responsibilities Develop and define structural sections for lead structures and load paths to withstand
front, side, rear, and roof crash modes . Evaluate
energy absorption, structural integrity, and vehicle behavior
under multiple impact scenarios. Conduct
crashworthiness simulations
using LS-DYNA to predict structural performance and occupant protection. Incorporate
material characterization data
into LS-DYNA to model complex failure modes and behaviors. Design and optimize load paths for
high-speed and low-speed crash events , ensuring structural balance and effective energy management. Ensure compliance with
FMVSS, ECE, USNCAP, and IIHS
safety standards. Support the program from
concept through launch , contributing to design reviews, safety development, and crash optimization. Correlate
virtual analysis with physical test results , ensuring accuracy and validation of simulation predictions. Document and present
CAE results, recommendations, and sign-off reports
to cross-functional teams. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field . Hands-on experience with
LS-DYNA
and pre-/post-processing tools (ANSA, HyperMesh, Animator, etc.). Strong knowledge of
crashworthiness, energy absorption mechanisms, and structural design principles . Familiarity with
automotive safety regulations
(FMVSS, ECE, NCAP, IIHS). Solid understanding of
high-strength materials
and their behavior under crash loads. Proven ability to
interpret, analyze, and correlate simulation to physical test data . Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Seniority level
