Arcadis is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to join our Resilience Water team. This is a talent pipeline position aimed at preparing for future opportunities in water resilience and sustainability. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of electrical systems for water, wastewater, and industrial infrastructure projects. Your focus will include power distribution, lighting, communications, security, fire detection, and control and monitoring systems. Working from initial concept through final startup, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, innovative, and sustainable solutions. Collaborating with process, mechanical, and instrumentation and control (I&C) engineers to develop design criteria, single-line diagrams, control schematics, and technical documentation. Designing low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems to meet project specifications and requirements. Performing system analyses using tools like ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or other power system analysis software. Supporting project managers in project planning, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and cost estimation. Managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful completion. Traveling as needed for client meetings, site visits, and other project-related activities. Key Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a foundational understanding of industrial power design and distribution, including motor control, variable frequency drives (VFDs), lighting systems, equipment layout, and related activities. Strong organizational skills are essential, as you will need to independently manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills are critical for effectively conveying technical information and collaborating with diverse teams. Additionally, a team-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary environments are key to success. Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline EIT Certification or PE license Familiarity of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements Note: This is a prospecting position for future roles.
