Overview
HDR is currently seeking a Civil/Senior Site Civil Engineer to join one of the largest, fastest growing, and comprehensive TMT (Tech, Media and Telecom) practices in the industry. This role focuses on design of facility related sites in support of Data Center and other Mission Critical buildings and infrastructure. The team collaborates with multidiscipline design teams throughout the project life cycle from planning through construction documents and construction administration. Experience in site development and the design of building related site civil (grading, utilities, storm drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control) is preferred. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, collaborative and possess strong leadership skills with initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound civil site designs. Work locations include various US and UK sites (examples include Atlanta, Austin, Bellevue, Boise, Charlotte, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Newark, New York, Omaha, Orlando, Pennington, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Raleigh, Sacramento/Folsom, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, Walnut Creek; UK locations include London, Manchester, Glasgow). This role is part of an integrated team responsible for site design in support of data centers and mission critical infrastructure. Responsibilities
Conduct early project development activities including site selection, due diligence, and site planning Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of mission critical projects, including site layouts, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities Conduct quantity calculations Conduct permitting submittals to local authorities having jurisdiction Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as needed Plan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs as needed Plan, organize and supervise work of a medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as needed Oversee work of other professionals and technicians as needed Prepare/Review civil engineering scope of work and budgets/estimates for proposals as needed Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications
Strong operating knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired Demonstrated experience in working with multi-disciplined teams of Architects, Engineers, and Designers Preference given to local candidates Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Previous experience in general civil engineering Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license Demonstrated leadership and communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Good verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe / Our Commitment

The compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and location. The targeted salary range for this position (based on experience and location) is approximately $74,900 - $139,100, with variations by location.
