Job Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Manager is responsible for manufacturing, packaging, and labeling ACT finished goods and products. Ensure the product is built to specifications and of the highest quality in the quantities and timing prescribed by the Production Planner. Analyze and manage resources to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Responsible for housekeeping and safety in all manufacturing areas. Ensure that all established policies, rules, and procedures are followed. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (environmental, OSHA, FDA). Support Quality System and Engineering initiatives. The Senior Manufacturing Manager also supports other activities, as assigned, by the Senior Director or Vice President of Operations, depending on location.

Essential Functions

Define strategic direction for assigned manufacturing lines, aligning with Company goals and emphasis on Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost objectives Work with Production Planner to develop build plans, manufacture products according to the plan, and monitor/report progress Control and monitor daily production details to achieve On Time Delivery of product in accordance with the planned production schedule Communicate the cause of any delay and the most efficient recovery plan if the planned production schedule cannot be met Lead and manage manufacturing managers, supervisors and operators Ensure manufacturing lines are appropriately staffed and operators are trained Establish a skilled workforce capable of meeting work area performance metrics Provide effective training and maintain training records; ensure Training Record Audits and annual re-certifications are completed Ensure consumption of raw materials is accurately tracked during production Check machines for maintenance problems and ensure issues are resolved Work with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure equipment/fixtures are calibrated and maintained Maintain cleanliness of all work areas Prevent variances of scrap, labor, and materials Manage assigned department(s) within established budget Ensure all applicable procedures and instructions are followed Coordinate with QA, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Inventory Control to troubleshoot production holds, material purges, or quality issues Ensure all products meet applicable specifications Foster a culture of continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing techniques Responsible for CER/PPE monitoring, maintenance and stocking of CER/PPE supplies

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor\'s Degree preferred 10+ years experience in manufacturing required 7-9 years supervisory experience in manufacturing required Medical device experience preferred Lean manufacturing or similar continuous improvement process experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proven track record of success in leading and optimizing manufacturing in a management position Demonstrated ability to manage teams, build relationships, and communicate effectively Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail Proficient with ERP, Oracle, and related systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant technologies High sense of urgency and ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, organizational, and negotiation skills Strong knowledge of machine mechanics and processes
