WSP is seeking a Senior Substation Design Engineer to join our Power & Energy team in Orlando, FL. The candidate will work on projects within the Power Delivery Substation Department and contribute to a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves their challenges. Perform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to extra-high-voltage utility substations Perform detailed design of one-line diagrams, elementary and wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, proposal development, construction cost estimates, and project scheduling Lead tasks for technical assignments on projects Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, tracking and organizing many tasks of varying importance and size Be a team player – responsive, reliable and collaborative Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited university, preferably with a power option Experience in 15kV through 230kV substation design and IEEE/ANSI standards Experience filling the role of substation design engineer for several projects occurring concurrently 5+ years of experience in utility substation design Strong written and oral communication skills in English to work effectively with internal teams and external clients Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and harassment policies Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Engineering Professional Engineer License Experience in 230kV through 500kV substation design Experience in managing small project teams Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or Inventor About WSP
