Overview
Position: Senior RF Engineer Location: US – Fort Meade, MD Category: Hardware Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related technical field) Experience Requirement: 7 Years TAP is seeking to hire a Senior RF Engineer to join our team. This role involves design, analysis, and development of high power and high reliability RF components and systems. The Senior RF Engineer will collaborate with Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Test Engineers and other technical experts. Note: This position is contingent upon successful security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, analysis, and development of high power and high reliability RF components and systems. Collaborate with Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Test Engineers and other technical teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related technical field) Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph clearance 7+ years of overall engineering experience 5+ years of experience in radar design and analysis, and/or test Experience with RF and/or analog circuit layout and packaging Experience with antenna design for high power applications Experience with EM simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, CST) Technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering (or related technical field) Experience with schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium) Familiarity with PCB fabrication & design and common electronics assembly processes Experience developing electronics test requirements, plans, and procedures at system and component levels
Security / Citizenship
U.S. Citizenship required. Clearance up to Top Secret/SCI with full scope polygraph; ability to obtain and maintain clearance based on government requirements. Clearance and polygraph processing will be conducted by the U.S. Government. Background factors may include criminal history check, education verification, background checks related to drug use, credit history, and interviews.
