Overview
Location: Camarillo, CA. Supplier Quality Engineer. This position may require up to 20% travel (domestic). Local candidates only. Must have a Bachelor’s degree and APQP, PPAP experience.
Responsibilities
Work with supplier functions to develop PFMEA, control plans, and statistical plans (Cpks).
Ensure project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.
Advance Zero Defect culture using advanced quality tools such as statistical analysis, PFMEA, and 8D corrective action.
Create/maintain PFMEA and control plans documentation using the enterprise platform to ensure compliance to Parker standards.
Perform virtual and onsite supplier audits as needed.
Work with Procurement to qualify NEW suppliers.
Responsible for Quality Assurance of New Product introductions to suppliers.
Coordinate with the Supplier Quality team on all initiatives relating to supplier quality performance.
Develop supplier risk mitigation plans for parts moves.
Working experience in developing Supplier APQP/PPAP.
Must Have / Qualifications
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Hands-on expertise in measurement methods and tools.
Data analysis and data mining (e.g., Pivot tables).
Root cause analysis and problem solving.
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Supplier quality audit experience.
APQP/PPAP experience.
U.S. Person eligibility under ITAR rules.
Preferred Requirements
5+ years in process improvement with Lean tools and structured problem solving (5S, Mistake-Proofing, CPCT tools).
4+ years as a Quality Engineer in Aerospace.
B.S. in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field.
Automotive experience is a plus.
