StandardAero Houston is a premier Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility specializing in the service of mid-sized corporate jets. We support an extensive range of aircraft models, including Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Learjet, Gulfstream, and Embraer. The facility features a state-of-the-art engine shop and test cell, ensuring top-tier maintenance and performance for both engines and airframes. We are currently seeking Aircraft Mechanics across multiple experience levels. Whether you are just starting your career or bring years of expertise in corporate aviation, there is a place for you on our team.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and heavy maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of corporate aircraft.

Remove and reinstall turbofan and turboprop engines.

Conduct operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs to ensure airworthiness.

Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals.

Evaluate removed components for serviceability, document discrepancies, and reinstall/test components.

Troubleshoot and repair airframe systems (hydraulics, landing gear, fuel, pressurization, etc.).

Perform fuel tank sealing, adjustments, and rigging as required.

Document all maintenance performed in clear and accurate detail.

Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives.

Utilize hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, and test equipment.

Uphold StandardAero’s commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Position Requirements

Formal aviation training through an accredited technical school, OEM, or military training program.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

We are hiring at multiple levels. Placement will be based on qualifications and experience:

Entry-Level Mechanic — must be able to attain an FAA A&P License within 3 months of hire; High School Diploma or GED required.

Licensed Mechanic I — Active FAA A&P License; 1–3 years of Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) experience; ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Licensed Mechanic II — Active FAA A&P License; Minimum 3 years of AMT experience; hands-on experience servicing Dassault, Bombardier, and/or Embraer business aircraft.

Licensed Mechanic III — Active FAA A&P License; Minimum 7 years of AMT experience, with at least 3 years in Corporate Aviation; hands-on experience servicing Dassault, Bombardier, and/or Embraer business aircraft.

Preferred Characteristics

Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.

Solid troubleshooting and repair background in corporate/business aviation.

Formal training and/or minimum 3 years of experience on Dassault Falcon aircraft.

Factory-authorized, FlightSafety, or CAE training on assigned aircraft or engines.

Previous experience in a Corporate/Business Aviation MRO environment.
