As a Principal AP1000 Program Engineer, you will support the AP300 Program Manager to ensure the progress of the AP300 SMR design and licensing on time and within budget, while meeting customer expectations. The Product Engineer will collaborate with GOS, Nuclear Fuels leadership, and technical teams to implement the goals of the AP300 SMR program. You will lead product development and customer engagement activities, including responding to RFIs, growing customer relationships, and coordinating with marketing, GOS, Commercial Operations, design to value, and account teams to ensure the successful development of the Westinghouse AP300 SMR. You will report to the Senior Program Manager, AP1000, and be based in the United States or Europe. This is a remote position with no relocation or sponsorship provided. Key Responsibilities:
Partner with GOS/Nuclear Fuel teams to develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and cost baselines for the AP300 SMR project. Manage the project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. Develop and analyze project performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Lead interdisciplinary teams, supporting the program management to meet project goals within timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Adhere to EPMO best practices and guide teams accordingly. Communicate complex project statuses, risks, and plans effectively to management and leadership, proposing solutions for issues. Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays, cost overruns, or quality issues. Lead customer engagement activities, including RFI responses, information sessions, and Q&As. Coordinate across departments to align and lead product strategies. Maintain understanding of program scope aligned with strategic goals and recommend modifications to enhance effectiveness. Collaborate with business development to pursue growth opportunities aligned with strategic goals. Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field Experience with AP1000 PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Proficiency with project management tools (P6, SAP, ARM) and techniques, including Earned Value Management #LI-Remote Why Westinghouse?
