Fluke Corporation . 1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants A Senior Electronics Component Engineer is responsible for the technical management of non-custom (off-the-shelf) components and works to resolve component issues, identify savings opportunities, follow documented processes to managing parts in the component databases, be an engineering consultant to global operations teams, design engineering, global procurement, and communicate component changes across the corporation.
Responsibilities
Technical management of non-custom (off-the-shelf) components — Maintaining a data base of components that support Fluke products worldwide (new items, changing existing items, documentation, environmental compliance, system attributes). The integration of parts from acquired companies into the database is performed on an as needed basis.
Life cycle management of non-custom components — Actively monitoring life cycle status and acting on discontinued parts utilizing detailed work instructions and finding replacement parts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related physical sciences with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a component engineer or equivalent education and work experience.
Strong technical background and experiences in Electronic, Electrical and Mechanical disciplines;
Ability to interact with, and be a strong consultant to engineering teams throughout the company.
Ability to be a mentor and resource to less experienced or non-technical colleagues.
Fluent English (oral and written).
